DARK STAR: Ridden by Allison Wherley, coached by Jocelyn, CHILDREN HUNTER HORSE 15-17, RESERVE CHAMPION.
The Maryland Horse and Pony Show was a very successful show for the Hunter Glen competitions with Lodestone, LLC this year. Allison and DARK STAR proved again what a great team they are with a 1st and 5th over the jumps and 4th under saddle. Allison also competed in the $500 NAL/WIHS Children's Classic with an 8th place.
Jocelyn took one of Lodestone, LLC's babies, FULL SWING ("Lewis"), for his third horse show experience, and he was 4th in the Low Hunter class. Congratulations "Lewis" on your focus!
Nicole Gard and CRUISING TYRELLA again come home with the ribbons. Rain doesn't stop these two. Competing in the High Children's/Adult Jumpers, this duo was 5th, 3rd, and 8th in the $1500 NAL/WIHS Children's Adult Jumper Classic.
CONGRATULATIONS TO TERRY WHERLEY'S HUNTER GLEN FOR A SUCCESSFUL SHOW AT QUENTIN FALL THIS 2006. We thank you for allowing Lodestone, LCC to be a part of your success!
CRUISING TYRELLA, owned by Shoshana Gordon, ridden by Nicole Gard, Children's Jumpers, Champion
On the equitation front, with Jocelyn training, Susannah Ruff rode READY OR NOT to a 2nd place in the Restricted Equitation over fences and Allison Wherley was 3rd with her DARK STAR in the Children's Equitation over fences 3 feet. Allison placed 2nd in the Josey Mohler Equitation Finals with DARK STAR.
Susannah and READY OR NOT proceeded to the Children's Horses to be 2nd and 6th over the jumps and 2nd under saddle. We're very proud of you!
Allison stayed busy with her two mounts, SUNSHINE DREAMS and DARK STAR. SUNSHINE DREAMS did the Large Children's Hunter Ponies and received a 3rd, 5th, and 5th, and 6th in the hack. We're very excited about this up-and-coming green pony! Allison leaps to her DARK STAR and was 1st, 2nd, and 3rd over fences and 7th in the hack doing the Children's Hunter Horse 15-17. Allison finished her show with an 8th place in the $500 NAL/WIHS Children's Hunter Classic with DARK STAR. Way to ride Allison!
Kay Frydenborg's REMINISCENT starts out his show with the add back class and a 4th with Jocelyn aboard and then proceeds to the professional low hunters with a 1st, 1st, 2nd over fences. Remi also does the Hopeful Hunters with 4th and 3rd over fences. The next ride for Jocelyn is Judy McIlvane;s LAST DANCE with a 1st and 2nd in the Baby Green Hunters and a 2nd and 2nd in the Hopeful Hunters over fences. And certainly last but not least is Susannah Ruff's READY OR NOT, winning all three classes over the jumps in the Hopeful HUnters. A round of applause for our young horses and the terrific owners!
On the Lodestone, LLC front, with John acting trainer, Ashley Martin rode our BODINE in the Non-Professional Low HUnters to finish 2nd and 3rd over fences and 3rd under saddle. Go get 'um Ash! And Nicole Gard with CRUISING TYRELLA tore up the turf winning all three Children's Jumper Classes this year. Not too shabby! Nicole went on to place 2nd in the $1500 NAL/WIHS Children's Jumper Classic. We could not be more proud!

WALL STREET JOURNAL, owned by Paul and Jill Greiner, ridden by Jocelyn, trained by John, SWVHJA Working Hunters, Champion
What a wonderful horse show for the Greiners and WALL STREET JOURNAL (Ben). With Jocelyn in the irons and John on the ground, BEN started the show winning the low hunters over the jumps. He went on to the SWVHJA Working Hunters where he was 1st and 2nd over the jumps and 1st in the hack. A great start as we prepare for 2007 with this lovely horse!
Might we add—what a beautiful facility and such a warm welcome we received upon arriving at Oak Manor. We loved seeing our good friend and trainer, Sarah Irving, at that incredible farm and meeting Oak Manor's owners, Drs. David and Ann Gardner. Thank you for your hospitality!
